Batchley Support Group aims to empower local people by building resident participation and involvement in community activities, promoting regeneration and access to services, reducing inequalities in health, advancing social inclusion and lifelong learning and campaigning on local issues.

We understand that young people face challenges on multiple levels, including with mental and physical health, relationships, housing and money, accessing education and employment.
We are passionate about ensuring that all young people know their worth, are supported and cared for in times of need,
The breakfast club has been run by our group for over 20 years at Batchley 1st school it Starts at 7.30am until 8.45am the children are then taken down to their classes.
they have breakfast and then they do lots of fun crafts, singing and playing games
The Hen House is are woman's group that meets every Wednesday from 10 am till 2pm.
They do loads of crafts , meals out , baking,
supporting each and most of loads of tea drinking and chatting
feel free to pop down and meet the ladies .
What is the Pantry? A Pantry is "get more for less" it is to help and encourage families/singles that need a little bit of Support to manage through tough times. We aim to help as many residents that need a little support. What will you find at our Pantry?
You will find a range of fresh, frozen and general foods, this will change based on what we received from our suppliers.
How much does it cost?
It is either £7 or £10 the choice is yours and you will receive about 3 times the value

You can also collect free Greggs Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm - 6.30pm

None of this would be possible without the support of our Community, Trustees and volunteers.
Our door is always open, kettle is always on and the sofa is always warm and welcoming, and is a place of peace and non judgement. If any of our community need to chat you are always welcome, anytime. It's no good suffering in silence, you don't have to, we have tea & coffee in the cupboard, chocolate, biscuits a listening ear, and a hug if needed.
Our amazing team of Trustees and volunteers are committed to helping others.

Our long established Community Pantry and shop supports residents and their families by providing fresh food produce and toiletries daily to those in need.
In addition to bought in goods provided by FareShare and sold at reduced prices, our dedicated Trustees and volunteers collect from local business five days a week and the food is delivered to our Community Pantry in Batchley.
We take all donations of tinned and packet foods and drinks. Particularly items that don't require a lot of cooking.
We take all toiletries including women's personal products.

Every Summer when the schools close for the holidays, we run a Summer Play Scheme in partnership with Batchley First School.Children between 6 and 12 years can attend the playscheme for 4 weeks during August totally free! They are able to play games, have lunch together and make new friends. This would not be possible without the support of our volunteers and Trustees and with the financial support of some of the RBC local councillors. All of the staff and volunteers hold current DBS certificate

(you can self refer) to our Community Pantry, you do not have to live in Batchley we are open to the wider community we know that the next few months are going to be difficult for lots of people so we are here to help please call if you need anymore information
